Popular singer Celine Dion, have divorced her husband after exactly 20years of marriage. She site the  26 years age gap between the two as the major reason for the divorce.
"When we were younger we were on the same wave length, but we both can agree the big age gap just leaves us out of tune and never on the same page, it has nothing to do with looks, after 20 years I'm still very attracted and love him, but both Rene and I both can agree that it's just become way too tough for the both of us. He's still my best friend!" Celine is 47 while Rene Angelil is 73

BUHARI APPOINTS 18 NEW PERM. SECRETARIES; MAY OPT FOR 25 MINISTRIES

PMB has announced the appointment of 18 new permanent secretaries to replace the 16 sacked yesterday. This will being the total number of permanent secretaries that will head the new federal civil service to 36. 25 of these, has been deployed to the 25 different ministries the president has opted to work with; 7 short of the 32 his predecessor had. This give a clear picture of the austere nature of the engine room of government that will drive the vehicle of CHANGE. The remaining permanent secretaries were deployed to different offices of the federal government. See the breakdown of the new appointments and deployment below

Those appointed included Mrs. Ayotunde Adesugba, Alhaji Mahmoud Isa-Dutse, Mr. Taiwo Abidogun, Dr. Bukar Hassan, Mrs. Wakama Belema Asifieka, Mr. Jalal Ahmad Arabi, Mr. Sabiu Zakari, Mrs. Obiageli Phyllis Nwokedi, Mr. Aminu Nabegu and Mr. Bamgbose Olukunle Oladele.

Others are Mr. Alo Williams Nwankwo, Dr. Shehu Ahmed, Mr. Ogbonnaya Innocent Kalu, Mrs. Nuratu Jimoh Batagarawa, Mr. Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa, Mr. Bassey Akpanyung, Mr. Louis Edozien and Dr. Ugo Roy.

In the same vein, the President also approved the deployment of the Permanent Secretaries as follows: Dr. Shehu Ahmad (Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development); Arch. Sunday Echono (Federal Ministry of Communications); Alhaji Sabiu Zakari (Federal Ministry of Transportation); Mrs. Ayotunde Adesugba (Federal Ministry of Information & Culture); Amb. Danjuma Sheni (Federal Ministry of Defence); Dr. Shade Yemi-Esan(Federal Ministry  of Education) and Mrs. Fatima Mede( Budget & National Planning).

According to the presidential spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina, the new appointments and deployments took immediate effect from November 10, 2015.

BUHARI FIRES PERMANENT SECRETARIES

PMB met today with the permanent secretaries in Abuja. At the end of the meeting, no less that 17 permanent secretaries were relieved of their duties. This is coming just ahead of the swearng-in of the ministers designate tomorrow. Also present at the meeting were the Chief of Staff to the President Abba Kyari and the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.

ENYIMBA ENYI! THE PEOPLES ELEPHANT CROWNED 7TH NPL CHAPIONS

Was heard in the main bowl of the Aba Township Stadium on Sunday when Enyimba held Wolves to a goalless draw to clinch the Leauge Title for a record seventh time. ELECTION PETITION TRIBUNAL WILD FIRE

In the space of about one month, no less than three states has been cut up in the flame of what called the Election Petition Tribunal wildfire. The worst hit is River State; with the sacking of the state governor and over 20 members of the state assembly. It spread to AkwaIbom state and now Taraba. These are major PDP state and those affected are are mostly PDP elected officials.
While sitting at the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal, in a unanimous judgment by a three-man panel of judges, ‎sacked Gov. Darius, and declared Senator Aisha Jumai Alhassan‎ of the ‎All Progressives Congress, APC, ‎as the winner of the poll.

The tribunal cited non compliance with the electoral process as the major reason for their decision. "The tribunal maintained that there was overwhelming evidence that the PDP in Taraba sidelined the provisions of the Electoral Act 2010, and the 1999‎ Constitution, as amended, when it decided to hold the primary election that produced Ishaku as its candidate in Abuja instead of Jalingo, the state capital."

They ordered the immediate withdrawal of creticate of return from gov. Darius Ishaku and a fresh certificate be issued to Senotor Alhassan. Senator Aisha Jumai Alhassan‎ by this judgement will become the first democratically elected female governor in Nigeria.
So long as this wildfires of sacking and firing doesn't become a selective tool in the hand of the ruling  APC, we hope that the tribunal will give the much needed credibility to our electoral process.

FIFA UNDER 17 WC 2015-NIGERIA CROWNED CHAMPIONS FOR A RECORD FIFTH TIME

The Nigeria under 17 national team on Sunday beat the Mali 2-0 in an all African final, to lift the trophy for the fifth time. The defending champions beat the likes of Brazil, Mexico, to retain the title they won two years ago. In doing so, the Nigerians claimed the fifth U-17 World Cup crown, following on from their previous successes at China 1985, Japan 1993, Korea Republic 2007 and UAE 2013. In addition, they finished as runners-up at Canada 1987, Trinidad and Tobago 2001 and Nigeria 2009.
Speaking at the end of the encounter, the coach of the team, Emmanuel Amuneke said, “We have worked very hard for this success and we hope to continue. The players will go home now but their journey is not over yet. I have football in my blood, as a player and as a coach. This is what I want to pass to my players.” 
We say kudos to the team and the coaching crew and wish more success in future.

BEN CARSON AND TRANS-PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP COMMENT

President recently received backing from congress to expedite action on the TPP. But some front runner presidential candidates both on the left and right have come out to say they did not support the proposed agreement or the authorization for expidited action. Few days ago, Dr. Ben Carson said he might support the president Obama's TPP aggrement. This statement did not go down well with some of his supporters. Speaking of his tentative support, Dr. Carson said he “believes the agreement does help to level the playing field in key markets and is important to improve our ties to trading partners in Asia as a counterbalance to China’s influence in the region."
The goal of the trade agreement is to reduce barriers to commerce and investment among a dozen countries comprising nearly 40 percent of the world’s economy. 
With the USA and Japan as the two largest economies in this TPP aggrement, I believe it will further strengthen the booming economic potentials in the pacific region and Dr. Carson will be right supporting the aggrement.

without going into the discrepancy of information between the president and his spokesman, i really don't understand what point the presidency is trying to prove with this. the claims that the federation has no money to pay the salaries is too bizarre. if the previous budgetary allocation to each ministry has accommodated this in the past, why not now. is better to give this guys portfolios with salaries so as to have the moral courage to task them on the issue of corruption rather than creating room for the to steal.
